Daily life teaches the Accord before doctrine does. A petitioner waits according to color mark, escort, and urgency glyph. A market dispute is heard where enough eyes can see the weights. A canal gate is opened under tally, not favor. Causeway repair is tequitl owed through household, road, shrine, and state.

Rank shows in placement before speech. A household’s guest mat, a court’s painted threshold, the angle of a body before an elder, the hand used to touch a shrine bowl, and the escort permitted past a gate all announce what a person may ask and what they must answer.

Marriage joins households before it satisfies tenderness. Land, debt, work crews, shrine obligations, child-rearing, and inheritance enter the room with the couple. Affection may matter deeply. It does not stand alone.

Education is broad because ignorance weakens the state. Children learn letters, tally marks, seasonal duties, basic shrine conduct, and the old warnings of mist, water, road, and burial. Those trained beyond their household owe service. A good scribe is not free because she writes beautifully. She is dangerous because she knows where the records sleep.

The household shrine trains constancy. Grandeur matters less than upkeep. The calli [household] proves itself through swept floors, tended offerings, correct storage, clean thresholds, and the quiet fact that someone still remembers the names.

Verdant faith begins with recurrence rather than revelation. The world kept presenting the same hard truths until doctrine became the less foolish answer. Death is sequence. Purity means right handling. Grief alone is cheap. Duty is not.

Waste becomes blasphemy when it squanders food, bodies, labor, rites, lineage, water, season, crystal, heat, or road safety. Beauty is praised when it carries office, rite, memory, or public keeping. When it flatters appetite and ends there, it begins to smell corrupt.

Local sacred powers endure beneath the wider Verdant frame. The state tolerates local faces more readily than rival laws. The Crystal Ceibas stand inside doctrine as material proof that sacred order can force itself upward against corruption. The White Breath is the inverse: profanation made intimate.

The calendar widens household discipline. Feast days, mourning days, repair seasons, planting windows, storage seasons, road closures, cold audits, hive inspections, and flood warnings all belong to sacred sequence. Religion gives labor its hour.

Miquiāpan piety smells of copalli [incense], wet earth, bitter flowers, and sealed water. Iztāc Tlālpan piety smells of cold stone, spider silk, lamp oil, and white crystal warmed by breath. Neither region thinks comfort proves holiness.

The Accord thinks in anatomy. Most people meet the state through registries, levies, petitions, sealed granaries, storehouse tallies, road offices, shrine calendars, toll glyphs, and officials who decide whether their trouble matters.

Escalation is practical before it is elegant. A local elder, healer, house officer, or tlamacazqui [temple servant] handles the first sign. Wardens take terrain problems: water, road, swamp, cold, hive, and travel danger. Tēixcuitianimeh [Those Who Examine Faces] audit testimony, relics, sorcery, wards, and official lies. Chīchīltic Tzictli [Red Sap] takes sealed contamination, dangerous custody, and interdiction. Tlīltic Maitl [Black Hand] acts under narrow warrant when publicity itself would worsen the breach.

Temple authority stands beside these organs because burial order, sacred sequence, contamination, water, and time are matters of survival. Overlap is expected. Rivalry is tolerated until it costs the Accord something important.

Domestic arts, licensed healing, inspected crystal stock, registered beast breeding, and household relics can remain ordinary when recorded and supervised. Illicit transformations, concealed contamination, unauthorized Chicahua handling, tampered lattice work, stolen bodies, and private war-beasts climb the ladder quickly.

Relics draw sharp law because age makes fools sentimental. Some belong to household continuity. Some belong to temple or dynastic custody. Some are too active, contaminated, or politically volatile to remain in private hands.

Beasts are handled with colder judgment. The law cares little for the words pet or monster. It cares about containment, breeding stability, controllability, and public risk.

Chīchīltic Tzictli handles trouble that worsens under attention. If a shrine shifts cadence, patrols vanish on the same road, a relic disappears behind clean signatures, or a grove wakes under the wrong custody, they may be sent. By then courtesy has usually failed.

The order was born from repeated embarrassment. Frontier country kept eating ordinary responses, so the state built cadres from people already marked by bad country.

Their doctrine is plain: name the thing correctly, place it correctly, use it if use will not spread the damage, contain it if containment can hold, and destroy it when nothing cleaner remains.

Their work is small-cell and sealed: quiet addresses, restricted ledgers, holding sites, spoor-reading, quarantines, seizures, and interventions where killing the story can be cleaner than telling it too early.

Sanctioned Removal, Hush-Work, and Narrow Warrant

Tlīltic Maitl is a sanctioned hand kept in shadow because some actions rot when performed on a stage. They remove people, documents, tools, witnesses, or threats under narrow writ. Sometimes removal means custody. Sometimes disappearance. Sometimes the Accord has decided that a public trial would feed the disorder it means to end.

They are watched harshly. A hidden hand that forgets it belongs to the body becomes disease.

Magical Auditors, Testimony Readers, and Relic Inspectors

Tēixcuitianimeh are auditors of speech, relics, wards, and official lies. They inspect magical practice, review testimony, examine suspicious architecture, and decide when ordinary error has become civic danger.

They do not need cruelty to be feared. A careful question can do more work than a shout. Their ledgers ruin reputations because they place small facts in an order that excuses cannot easily survive.

Public Rite, Funeral Order, and Shrine Continuity

Tlamacazqueh hold public faith close to public life. They manage rites, calendars, household counsel, funerary handling, shrine repairs, marriage witness, contamination warnings, and relief in bad seasons.

They are one of the ways governance remembers it has a soul, or at least a ritual substitute convincing enough to keep households from collapsing into private appetite.

Patrols, Checkpoints, and Everyday Order

Cuitlapantli Yaōmeh are the visible body of everyday order. They guard gates, patrol markets, watch canals, enforce curfews, escort officials, and stand where ordinary people need the state to have a face. They are not elite. That is why they matter.

Ezhuayōtl Yaōmeh [Blood-Warriors] | Verdant Accord Ritual Combat

Arena Champions, Punishment Duelists, and Measured Violence

Ezhuayōtl Yaōmeh are arena fighters, ritual champions, punishment duelists, and public exemplars of controlled violence. A Blood-Warrior is trained to make violence legible. Their bouts may settle grievances, display skill, test captives, mark festivals, or remind a crowd that force without measure is only appetite with a weapon.

Ōhtliyacanqueh [Path Walkers] | Verdant Accord Hunters

Scouts, Beast Trackers, Marsh Guides, and Road Specialists

Ōhtliyacanqueh are living contracted hunters, scouts, beast-handlers, marsh guides, ruin readers, and road specialists. They go where ordinary patrols become expensive to replace.

Some are veterans. Some are former criminals paying service instead of rotting in a cell. Some are shrine-taught trackers or hard-country families who know the road better than officials know their own children. They are useful, distrusted, and paid late more often than they deserve.
