☥ APPEARANCE ☥

“Wanting her does not make them safe.”

Nyxara stands 5'4", compact rather than slight, her smallness sharpened into precision. A narrow waist draws the eye inward before pronounced curves answer with lavish, governed weight. She carries herself as though beauty were not an accident of flesh but an office she occupies/

Her face keeps the refinement of shadow-elven blood without losing the warmth of living skin. High cheekbones lift the dusk-brown planes beneath her eyes, while a smooth jaw and small, deliberate chin give her profile elegance without softness. Decoration may gather around her, but it never explains her.

Her eyes are light brown warming toward amber, darkened by kohl and quickened by firelight into an electrum glint. In shade, they settle into clear umber.  Her mouth is full, carefully shaped, and often glossed in oxblood or dark carmine, colors suited to black armor, gold jewelry, and rooms lit by low lamps. Her smile does not brighten her face so much as alter the air around it. The softness of her mouth remains one of her cleaner artifices.

Her hair falls thick and kohl-black, with brown undertones drawn out by flame or sunset. She wears it side-swept, its loose volume brought under braided control. A long plait often rests over one shoulder, heavy enough to feel ceremonial, while smaller braids carry electrum ornaments through the sable mass. The arrangement gives her face controlled asymmetry: one side softened by hair and shade, the other clearer, cooler, and less willing to be read.

Her body is openly voluptuous, but never careless. Close-fitted black armor and gilded framing give structure to her curves rather than hiding them, turning exposure into design. Dark panels, fitted cups, fine chains, lacquered plates, and electrum trim shape her into abundance brought under law. Her waist narrows beneath sculpted armor before the silhouette widens at the hips; her stance carries weight without surrendering discipline.

Her elven ears extend in long, refined points, fine-boned and expressive only by permission. They govern ordinary hearing with dangerous exactness: speech, footsteps, altered breath, fabric movement, metal contact, the pause before an answer, the careful scrape of a chair moved too slowly. A swallowed objection carries just as well.

Above them rise her jackal ears, real and fur-textured, darker along the outer edge and softer within. No crown accounts for them. No helm explains them. They belong to her body as surely as pulse belongs beneath skin. Taller and more mobile than her elven ears, they catch high whines, distant animal distress, subtle magical resonance, wingbeats, and concealed movement beyond ordinary range. They also regulate heat, releasing warmth beneath desert sun or crowded incense-heavy halls, then drawing closer in cold air to conserve it.

Their movement remains one of the few betrayals etiquette cannot always suppress. Irritation may lift one ear before she stills it. Interest changes their angle with brisk precision. In danger, motion nearly vanishes.

Together, the elven and jackal ears grant her a doubled nobility: one inheritance from shadowed courts and old blood, the other from desert hunters, necropolis sentinels, funerary guardians, and night roads beyond palace lamps. Audience-chamber polish follows her into death rites. The burial dark receives her without surprise.

“You may look. I wore this body as a warning before you mistook it for welcome.”
